The Whistler Alpine Guides Bureau (WAGB) is based in the Municipality Resort of Whistler, in the heart of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, Canada.
Founded in 1991, the Whistler Alpine Guides Bureau has a long-standing tradition of being the only full service mountain guiding company and mountain instructional school in the Whistler and Squamish areas.
We are fortunate to have such an abundance of spectacular mountains offering opportunities for incredible mountian climbing and mountain travel in the Whistler area.

Our Guided Descents
Guided Peak Descent - Single Day
Performed as a private day trip from Whistler Blackcomb ski resort, this program is for high-end skiers and boarders looking for their next powder fix. Our guides are extremely familiar with the backcountry terrain and can find lines of your choice - north faces, couloirs, bowls, glaciers, and more.
Some ascents and descents are technical and may involve ski mountaineering techniques. Our low guide to client ratios ensure individual attention.
No backcountry skiing/snowboarding experience necessary. Participants must be comfortable and confident in advanced terrain [black diamond runs] in a variety of snow conditions
Guided Peak Descent - Multi Day
Similar to our single day private descents except you will be skiing in a different area and will log more vertical and virgin powder.
Offered as a privately guided overnight trip, this program will give you the opportunity to ski multiple mountain peaks over the two days. A variety of locations are available and will be chosen based on ability and experience - long, open bowls and glaciers to steep north faces and couloirs in the Whistler backcountry. Some ascents and descents are technical and may involve ski mountaineering techniques. Our low ratios ensure individual attention.
Backcountry skiing and overnight winter camping experience an asset. Participants must be comfortable and confident in advanced terrain [black diamond runs] in a variety of snow conditions and be physically fit to carry a multi-day pack.
